I'm feeling a little lost in the weeds trying to accomplish my goal; maybe someone can help me figure out the best step-by-step process to get where I'm trying to get.
My goal: To import the sounds from a Korg Triton into the MPC Live in order to play them as keygroups from a MIDI controller
Using the MPC Live's autosampling function probably isn't going to be my best option, due to having to set the loop points myself. (I use a lot of string and pad sounds.) So I'm thinking Sample Robot software will be the best option for me because of its loop-detection algorithms.
I've tried messing around with the trial version of Sample Robot, and here's what I'm having trouble figuring out:
If I sample a program from the Triton using a note stride of less than 1, how do I get the MPC software or the MPC Live itself to fill in the blanks between the note increments I've sampled?
(Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to import my own sample sets into a keygroup in the MPC software in the first place. Is there a manual or YouTube video that shows the step-by-step process of importing sample sets with all their individual notes, velocity layers, loop points, aftertouch, etc into an MPC keygroup?)
