Is it just me or does STEMS SUCK in Standalone?

It looks like it was Zplane who made the stem separation. The same company who makes the Elastique time stretching thing for Ableton Live, Akai MPC and Force, and others. Inmusic bought a product and made a user interface over it.

Maybe it's the "efficient" variety that's running in MPC standalone. "STEMS EFFICIENT runs on low-performance CPUs" says the brochure.

Right on, good eye housewithout mouse. hah so it's no slight on inMusic for the way the stems result at all. They still seem to take all the shit for it though.

Ah man that would be a godsend. I am sick of mixing down my vocals, producing the a full track, sending out to a mastering engineer, to then process through MPC Stems, just to get that flava on my vocals. Akai need to be on this ASAP.

I'm thinking about buying this plugin - despite opinions But one question on my mind, After registration can i use stems without being connected to internet ?

Yes you can. My slight concern is that being a 'paid plug-in' I will now get occasional hassles from Inmusic asking to re-verify or something (meaning internet connection) like some folks get with other paid plugins.

If that shit starts happing with Stems (the only paid plugin I have) I'll be getting rid of it. Can't be doing with hooking up ethernet and faffing around.

Gimme a sec to find all the numbers, but compare InMusic to all the other Major players: Korg, Yamaha, Roland, Native Instruments, Novation/Focusrite, PreSonus, Ableton, Arturia, etc. InMusic is nowhere near those companies in terms of revenue or employees.

Also, Akai is only a small division of InMusic. Of those 480 employees you mentioned, only 16 work for Akai. This is highly relevant because they dont have 100 people to dedicate to development on stems feature, and they dont have infinite resources to update the firmware every month, and I get it. Thats why I'm always thankful for whatever we get from Akai, and the only thing I ever complain about is buggy Firmware.

Some people are complaining that there is no mpc 3 version of the mpc software yet, l don’t think they appreciate how tiny inmusic’s software dev team actually is.
