You can still point MIDI tracks to a plugin track. It's a bit more work but plugin automations might not work directly on the MIDI track.

However, no audio clip launching anymore...

Real time quantize is very much doable in modern mpcs

So any project with multiples won't play correctly. Any duplicates get made midi tracks.

Feels like the worst of the mpc combined with the worst of the force.
At least on the force we had midi clips playing from the same program.

So ... are you saying that it's like a Force with only one launch scene?

In your pic you can see the midi scenes in the force arranger . That would work. But I've seen no sign of scenes. If you watch the videos it's just one continuous midi track. That's all you get per plug-in. One track. Unless you create fake plugin programs by using midi sends but if you have to resort to that it brings more issues to work around.

For a single sequence workflow where I can arrange a track on the fly from a 4/8/16 bar loop with duplicate tracks of the same programs/plugins it's killed it's usefulness to me.

Probably killed it's usefulness for live work for a lot of people too.

They did not do away with "CLIP MODE" you can see the button in the screen shots on the "Linear Arranger" and the "Enhanced Drum Grid" on the AKAI website. Wouldn't be a good idea to remove it at this point since they are in cahoots with Ableton and live performance is big enough not to ignore, You can see it on the header as well soon as you open the page.

Yes. Just like the workaround when Akai stuffed up playing midi on muted tracks
And just like that workaround you would have to dedicate that plugin track to being a fake plugin program. Wouldn't be able to sequence on it as once it's muted none of your midi sends will work.

Then when you want to edit the plugin you would have to navigate to the plugin track to hit edit.

Hardly a smooth workflow.

Nobody was 'proven wrong', again get over yourself.

Guess what MPC 3.1 will be out one day too, gonna claim the credit for that too since you're so hard up for validation?

You would think he made the 3.0 update.

Got a link to those images. I'd love to be proven wrong on this.

An interesting blend of good and bad news. I was never a fan of the Force and wasn’t looking for my MPC to be more like the Force. I hope you still can roll the firmware back if needed. If not I need to decide which MPC to sacrifice.

From what I understand everyone is waiting for Beta access? Or is there somewhere to download firmware for MPC One?

Looks like Force + Beatmaker 3 style.

I think the track\program\sequence structure to be integral to what an mpc really is. man this saddens me a lot.

Yeah same here. What would be the benefit of losing this structure?

Not saying I'm never gonna upgrade now, but I'm still on 2.10 and I don't really feel I'm missing out on much as it is (without OS 3.0 that is).
