Got a link to those images. I'd love to be proven wrong on this.

 Its right on the screen image soon as you open the page. Top left of the screen

I think the track\program\sequence structure to be integral to what an mpc really is. man this saddens me a lot.

Yeah same here. What would be the benefit of losing this structure?

Not saying I'm never gonna upgrade now, but I'm still on 2.10 and I don't really feel I'm missing out on much as it is (without OS 3.0 that is).

To do with keeping sequences uniform for song mode/arranger.

I'd be happy with sequence 1 being the master and every sequence after having the same track order/settings with programs as usual.

Given than I make the whole song in a single sequence including a basic mix before I copy a sequence its kinda how I already do it.

Mute elements in seq 2. Copy again. Mute and unmute again to build up song parts for song mode. So every sequences tracks are identical.

Rolled back a few hours ago. 2.15 it is.

Looks like there's no more updates for me

Yeah. That now says List.

Grid arrange list. And are just shortcuts to the relevant screens.

Also when you click add new track clip programs are no longer present.

Is an mpc still an mpc without sequences, programs, and song mode?

Philosophical question of the day

Multiple alternative "tracks" for a "program" is there in Force, so it shouldn't be impossible to add that in some way. MPC3 is just a Force with a different user interface layer.

By the way, did you notice the "envelope follower" tab/page in Q-Link Macro Controls? It's in the screenshot. Does it work? Does it remember that envelope followers are ON when loading a saved project? In the Force, when loading a project, the envelope followers indicate "on", but they are not actually on. I have to go and toggle each and every envelope follower OFF and then ON, to make them wake up and do something.

Under Linear Arranger , at the top left of the pic CLIP mode box is right there. Seems like the YouTubers were instructed not to show it.

Unless that does something else...

As far as I have seen, that clip icon is not featured anywhere in any MPC 3 videos though. And it's not clear what it does since well, nobody has interacted with it. So maybe you could simply point to a video with a clip program like function in use in MPC 3?

Makes absolutely no sense at all. Either it's there or it isn't. I don't see why youtubers would not be allowed to show it, like they can control what the arranger view shows or not? it's absurd...

As above. It now reads list and opens up the list editor.
From left to right.
Grid arranger list.

When I heard programs had gone I fully expected midi clips to be included but they are conspicuous by their absence.

Scroll to 10.56 and pause it. You can see it says list.

:? Ok I see what you are talking about. That's messed up. Can't say that I'll miss it since I never used it but always thought it was a dope feature.

I'd have liked the button to be there. Midi clips would make 3.0 usable for me. One plugin with 10 midi clips I can place in the arranger to build up a song. Rather than a 5 minute long midi track to navigate on an awkward touchscreen. Sample clips I avoided. Preferred to do it in a normal program

Clip programs were also an easy way to latch samples live without some stupid ass workaround, and of course trigger samples in a synchronized fashions with the tempo. They need to bring that back. Anyway moving on.

MIDI is clearly on the way out. If you noticed in the video, there were 7 tracks, and 6 out of those were audio tracks. Audio is so much better. With MIDI everything is one big track with no building blocks of any kind, but with audio you get at least sections. The hell with MIDI altogether! It's a 1980s technology. Audio is modern. Spotify is all audio, no MIDI!
