sample basic

i just bought me an mpc started to sample,wanted to trim but at some samples the starting point stopped in the middle of an sample so that i couldn´t reach the point i wanted to trim .why is this?
next problem was that i wanted to audition some samples and programs from disc before loading but the play button at the load page is just not there! in the manual i see the nice little play button at the load page but
not on the screen! therefore is eject button who is not shown in the manual!

when youre in TRIM page, hit REGION, (you'll probably find that the region zone corelates to the area of the sample that your havin trouble gettin past in the TRIM page). highlight START and hit orange OPEN button. cant remember off hand what the screen says at that point but basically you have to stretch the region points to the start and end point of the sample before you can edit the full sample in TRIM page. Dunno why this is (wastes aload of time if your doin alot of editing). that should sort it!
current op. system doesnt allow an AUDITION off disk function yet. Its one for a future o.s according to Akai.
