MPC Key 37 reboots when selecting new project

I just recently got myself a Akai Key 37 and what a PITA this thing is. When I go to preferences and select New Project the MPC Key 37 switches itself off and reboots. Is this a common problem. I feel like taking it back for a refund.

Also, I got a free plugin since registering the MPC 37 amd I am having a lot of problems activating it as when I select activate I keep on getting activation error which is annoying.

Yes this is a bug! I have found a work around for now. Select new project, empty template then go to your browser and load a project. I also saved my songs to the sets list in sounds tab and now can switch between songs freely without the workaround but I do sometimes get a reboot when I load a previous project while another one is open. It’s weird and a hit and miss bug. Annoying

I also had that activation error when trying to activate my free plugin, but I did a search on Youtube and found a solution that seemed to work for many, me included.
One has to go to preferences, info, reset preferences. Then the MPC reboots and you can go to activations and activate all plugins again and this time the ”faulty” free plugin activation works. Did for me anyway.

Just picked one up today. This is happening to me as well. Select New Project and the MPC reboots. Hope they fix this bug soon or this is going right back to the dealer.
