one thing i dont like about the modern mpc's is the touchscreen and the not well thought out UX design. yes, the new mpc's come with so much more options, but i always found the touchscreen workflow to be less intuitive in some areas and less fun to make beats with it. but that may be a very personal opinion, and there are sure a lot of people who are enjoy using a touchscreen.
It's just funny hearing people on this site of all places that still have the 1k/2500 thread up with all those debates about how they suck or sounds too clean & now hear this talk about them sound warm or whatever.
About the touchscreen, I thought I would hate it, but now I just look at it like another way to navigate the box. It's like big colorful button with other little buttons. I think most of the dislike for it is because it's a form modern tech found on things like tablets/smartphones & some people dislike for those thing get transferred to the MPC touchscreen. It may be just a case of changing your perspective like did with seeing it as a big colorful button & realizing that, using the screen or a button to do the something is the same damn thing in the end most of the time. I still wouldn't want to play notes on the screen.
