Hi guys,

since Op-x4 was on sale for under 20$ for just a few hours some days ago:

What is the best way to not miss any sales?

Do you know any groups or threads specific to this?

I have signed up for alarms on musicsoftwaredeals.com but it seems to me they don't really track all offers always reliably...

The site that was selling it at $20 has admitted it was done in error hence it was pulled after a couple of hours. Akai regularly sell their plugins at discounts, it's done in rotation so just sign up to the Akai newsletter and maybe some of the sites like pluginboutique etc.

Or Akai could just sell their plugins at reasonable prices all year round?

Ring the Alarm is on sale at audio deluxe and JRRshop

Oh nice, a few of the plugins I've wanted to pick up (AIR Delay, AIR Flavor Pro) are on sale on those sites. I'll be grabbing them to use on an currently ongoing project. Looking forward to when multitimbral MIDI and MIDI MMC input is fixed on the latest MPC release so that I can use them

Can anyone tell me if the Flex Beat plugin is good? Only spotted it the other day, if it's decent and I can find it on sale in the future then I might grab it.

I usually just wait... and wait... until Black Friday. There always HUGE sales and I have a whole year to prepare my wallet. I have almost all the MPC plugins except for a few and I paid less than $500 for them all.

I believe Flex beat is multi platform like Jura, mini-d etc, so one purchase covers VST, mpc software and standalone etc:

That's my understanding too. Logic says no problem and it's an omission in the description, what's making me doubt myself is that other MPC Standalone plugins specify "Purchase unlocks Plugin on three devices: including PC, Mac (VST, AU, AAX) and Standalone (MPC & FORCE)". For example:

I can confirm that as logic dictates, this licence works for standalone.

Oh yeah, I knew that on sight :) the default delays in the MPC get the job done and covered functional needs, but there wasn't one in particular that inspired me.

I'm not usually the kind of musician that goes with 'vibe based' tools (give me a compressor, delay, reverb, some gain staging, a large folder of samples I've recorded myself and a couple of oscillators please). That said, from the demos I've seen I can really hear the value of that specific plugin for bringing different moods, textures and blends from a sample. A style of production I'm looking forward to doing more work with.

And as for Flex Beat -- well I like cool musical toys and this looks like a great addition to the toybox.

About 15 weeks until Black Friday Sales kick in. We should have a post listing all the sites and deals.
