Purchasing standalone instruments from 3rd party sites

Has anyone bought a standalone instrument or plug in from a site like plugin boutique or KVR. They have the "Air Sub Factory" cheaper and wondered if it includes the stabndalone version or just mac and pc as it is not clear on the site, thank you.

I bought 'ring the alarm' from AudioDeluxe yesterday and it worked on standalone too. You just have to input the serial number into the MPC. I might actually go ahead and buy Sub.Factory now on KVR as it seems to be the only site that is using dollars for the payment , which for me works out better buying with UK pound.

Ok to confirm I just bought Sub.Factory on KVR Marketplace and it does indeed work for the standalone. The steps are ( will be useful for anyone new to this ) :-

(1) Once paid for on KVR you will get an Email ( obviously to the email entered at checkout ) with a Redemption code link which takes you to Akai's site
(2) Sign in and when redeeming ,put in the email that you want to receive your serial number to
(3) The serial number is sent to your email
(4) on your MPC goto -> Activations -> Enter Serial
(5) Make sure to use the dashes in between the numbers/letters e.g XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX [[ Note that when you press enter after entering the numbers, the Enter button still stays open, but just ignore this as it seems to be a bug ]]
(6) Now in your list of plugins choose 'Activate' and then press the download icon to the right
(7) Now go and make some Phat beats

Is it the Subefactory you're after, I bought the Sub Factory from Plugin Boutique yesterday.

They bundle a free plugin with it, either a Softube Compressor based on the DBX160 (great on drums), Softube use an installer that uses PACE which is a an iLok system. Or a Tape style delay.
Audio Deluxe have a bundle too, with a Oberheim modelled synth

Another way to register is to Install the VSTi first and then cut and paste the code into that, then connect the MPC to the internet and check the activation. It's just a bit easier than entering all those digits on the MPC

Yes the advantage of buying from sites like KVR and audio deluxe is that they only sell in usd rather than forcing you to pay in gbp which is nearly always a fixed 1:1 price, so £40 on plugin boutique and on the mpc store while my bank is charging $40 as £31.44

Pluginboutique allows you to select the currency and the rate changes accordingly. Sub Factory is either £31.41, $39.99, €36.61 or ¥5,865

Just put a USA address in your pluginboutique account or jrrshop or whatever with a Californian code (they don't have VAT taxes in California) and you are dandy,

The advantage for me, is that they often bundle a free plugiun, and I choose between them based on which I like most. And they have Tokens/ Virtual cash/Deluxe Bucks, that add a further saving with every next purchase.

So I paid about 28 quid yesterday, not 31

Plugin boutique is showing me (logged in as a UK customer) £40 inc vat , I.e £33.33 ex VAT, so they don’t even give me the option for £31.44. Before logging in it did show the 31.41 price but I believe once they confirm you’re from the UK they have been told to charge a flat 40 inc VAT
