Some people like stupid ass challenges.

Let's not reflex too far in the other direction -- there's nothing wrong with self imposed limitations to push creativity or break out of habits.

I get what you're saying, but still, stupid ass challenges still exists. What your talking actually can serve a greater purpose. Stupid ass challenges just holds you back & or can make you worse.

Using a keyboard to play keyboard parts produces different results than triggering sampled and sliced keyboard parts from pads. Do you want to play drums and slices from pads? Or do you want to play keyboard parts? How about, first play your keyboard track, bounce it to a wav, slice the wav and play the slices with the pads.

Thank you Sir

The original Quote (by me)
Was. "Playing an First Person Shooter with a controller is like trying to eat soup with a fork."

I should add I play synths with pads a lot. It yields different results to keys. Also playing with the chord progressions and pads can take you in a direction you may not have taken with keys.

I'd still always take the option of pads and keys.

This is exactly me.

Sometimes I use pads for keys and keys for pads (still stuck in my brain from asr-10 drums on keys and had no drum machine).

But I’m better with both and using them for what they actually are.
