Akai MPC X - Screen won't turn on, powers off - VIDEO

Hi,

I've reached out to Akai and they've told me, I'm out of warranty, and to send it off to a repairman, but was curious if anyone's seen this issue in particular?
Has anyone had this happen, and found a fix for it?

Any advise from those who have had this issue and got it fixed, would be really helpful.

I don't know much about this stuff, but the only suggestion I can think of is rolling back the firmware?

I have actually had this issue, but it was a result of closing down my audio interface before the MPC had fully shut down. It took a couple of forced shutdowns (holding the button in) with everything disconnected, to eventually get there. So it makes me think it wasn't a hardware fault, but an OS.
