Question on how many instruments I can connect to the MPC X

HI all, new here and still on the fence before pulling the trigger on the MPC X SE!
The SE ticks all the boxes, but I still have a nagging question:

I have two hardware synths and a Moog Spectravox that I wish to connect at the same time to the MPC, but how is this possible via the rear panel? Can you connect two stereo signals and one mono all at the same time?

The MPC X SE has two stereo pair inputs, that can be used as four mono inputs.

To do more, you'll likely need to decide if you want to get a mixer, a compatible USB audio device that has more inputs, or consider only using a pair of instruments at a time.

Honestly, it really depends on your use case and what you are trying to do though.

I'd like to use the MPC as an audio interface and mixer (if possible) for 3 synths in total. The Sequential Take 5 and Waldorf Iridium Core would both need a stereo input in the MPC, while the Spectravox would mainly be used to as a processor for beats coming out of the MPC, and the processed beats would then have to go back into the mixer of the MPC, and then all signals together to the main outs and into a pair of active monitors. I guess one of both synths, Take 5 or Iridium, would need to go mono, along with the Spectravox then? Can the 2 front panel inputs act independently from the rear inputs, in doing so making more inputs available?

Another thing I was looking into is using the MPC as an audio recorder for my live band, consisting of a drummer, vocalist, guitar and bass player. The idea is to record ideas or jams, and later pick out that what is good enough to make songs out of. Another idea is to record separate instruments on the MPC (vocals, bass, etc) and really arrange them into songs.

Yes, you can connect two stereo synths and one mono synth to the MPC X SE simultaneously. Use the 8 line inputs on the rear panel: connect each stereo synth using two inputs (one for left and one for right), and connect the mono synth to one of the remaining inputs

@Huwang the MPC X SE has 8 line outputs... but it only has 4 line inputs last I checked...
