Modular based plugin utilising the CV gate jacks with my eurorack gear would be awesome.

100%, I got the MPC to utilise the CV/gate and while it does what I expected really well, there's sooooo much more scope for 8 CV/gate otuputs.

1. classic vocoder sound with impulse wave synth and a small filter bank
2. granular pitch shift / correction with MIDI note input for the transpose, "Autotune"style

I wouldnt pay very much for this though. But since a pitch correction is already available it shouldnt be too hard for AIR to come up with something simple yet effective.

A magentic pickup type distortion

Could maybe be just an additional forth mode in the fx plugin that has the "hard" "soft" and "wrap" distortion curves ( not sure what it is called)

Yes please to a Vocoder!!!

100% interest in 1. A vocoder, and zero interest in 2. the non-vocoder Autotune sound :vomit: God I wish that sound would die.

I hate that sound too and the music it is used in.

But we dont have to use it that way.

Since I cant sing but like human voice, especially female singers, years ago I was using Alter Ego by Ploque, a chiptune voice synth thats good and designed for robotic voices.

But I didnt use it that way, I added tons of reverb, delay and other effects and mostly made surreal voice lines in between opera style and I dont know what. Always used female voice but turned the formants down. Most of the time the syllabels and words I made up wouldnt fit the notes and timing so it became unintelligible like a foreign language.
I basically tried to conceal that its a robotic chip tune synth voice and got a very hybrid sound.
Became kind of a trademark style for me for a while.

So I think we could do interesting stuff with a pitch correction vocoder too, not just this Brave New World Autotueeaaoohune sound.

Pitch correction isn't a vocoder though, as it's one sound applied to another. I'm not anti pitch correction, though, just that pitch correction 'effect' sound. I actually love electronic voices. always messing with the text to pitch in Vital. I have a talkbox too, which is more like a vocoder in that it's one sound manipulated by a voice (although an un voiced voice), but I'm getting my teeth fixed, so I can't put the rubber tube in my mouth

Anyone with a triton, kronos already have a vocoder.

I have one in the Microfreak I'm yet to use, but I have a Vocodex too. Microfreak can only vocode to the inbuilt basic analog type wave shapes, for more of a classic sound. Drums vocoding a synth with a lot of movement is always cool, so I'd hope that if MPC ever got one, it would allow you to choose the synth to vocode onto, I think the OPX4 could come up with some great tones to vocode with percussion and voices.

Quite a few post I've seen on here asking about dub -techno chords. Vocoder seems quite good that too

I won't pay a dime for any plugin until they fix the activation issues, preferably by eliminating the need to reauthorize.

Maybe I shouldnt use the term 'vocoder' for granular and other pitch correction algorithms, technically it comes down to how you define vocoder, like codecs used in cell phones are also 'vocoders' although they split the signal into filter and residue signal.
But for clarity people usually mean specific filterbank and carrier signal vocoder and a specific sound.
A problem I see is that you need a way to route source and carrier to the plugin if you want to do fancy things. Thats why I just imagined a very simple vocoder.
What I dont get is why the pitch correction thing doesnt allow MIDI in ( or does it?)
That would suffice for the non-vocoder thing I think.
