I'd still welcome a software vocoder myself. I love the sound of vocoders its totally my schtick. esp the microkorg. The big thing is that if implemented, id prefer the vocoder act as an effect that we could route synthesizer and microphone too rather than have its own limited synth engine. even my microkorg despite being amazing still has its limitations to its abilities. however korg allowed the use of external signal and the ability to disable the internal synth engine which is handy.

Yea i guess if thyere calling it a pro sampler it Should have the very best built in, I’ve always looked at the MPC as a sequencer with a drum sample

I came to the MPC system via MPC 4000 so my expectations were set to a higher bar....
I'd love a Z8 Plugin at the very least but they could definitely improve upon that if they chose to.

But I personally think they should just beef up the current sampling system. Add a Mod Matrix, add the better envelopers, more LFO's, 3 filters. Wouldn't be too hard to bring up what they have to .

Imagine a 'Mastering Mode' where there is an option to bounce the entire track down as a frozen copy and free up all the CPU for working in the mastering mode.

If somehow(I know basically impossible) Mpc got something like Ripx so we had more control than just stems or...
The option to convert audio to midi like in Ableton then I would be all over that. Not really a plugin, but I'd dig it.

Amp Sims! I play guitar and I feel like their guitar-centric effects have only gotten better over time. InMusic owns Headrush, an amp sim/guitar tech company. Maybe they can leverage that.

Other than that, I'd be open to buying all sorts of plugins just to use them with the MPC interface in standalone.

I was down at the studio with just an electric guitar and MPC the other day and the guitar sounded alright with just the amp sim. Obv nowhere near running my regular floor preamps/tone processing but it was pretty decent. I'm always happily surprised by the quality of the MPC built in plugins.

MPE Mode that could be toggled on and off a track (like keygroups). And a nice MPE instrument to go with it, something like Surge or Pigments. The MPC can take and record multiple midi channels at once, though not on a single track, but I feel especially in 3.0 it could be implemented
