Hello!

I have problems with my pre- used MPC one.
I am the third owner of the MPC and cannot get the first owner's user account from the device.
I'm in contact. with Akai Support, but they haven't been able to help me yet.
I was able to initialize the internal memory with a file from Akai and I have reinstalled the current firmware. I can log out of the old user account, but I can‘t manage to to connect my account to the MPC.
I have allready registered the MPC Serial in my Akai account.

I would appreciate suggestions for solutions.

Thanks!

If I hit the blue Login button on the inMusic screen I get the QR Code. I scan the code with my mobile. This leads my to the inMusic „profile.inmusicbrands.com. I can choose to continue or to „sign out“ it doesn‘t matter if I continue or sign out and sign in again after.
The support at Akai told me that I should get a code after signing in to connect to my MPC one, but I only get the black screen that says „ You have successfully signe in.“ „You may close this window“ and on the MPC it say „waiting for registration server“ or something.
But nothing happens there. i could leave it for hours.

InMusics website is a labyrinth. I doubt there is a single person who knows the map of all existing sub websites.
When I log in I dont see a blue button nor a QR code. ( and I do not use QR codes usually)

I log in here https://profile.inmusicbrands.com/custo ... unt/login/

I had to log in twice for some reason, first time just redirected to the login site again, without any error message.

Then I get a list of registered products, with the MPC being the oldest.

I am not sure this was the same site where I registered the MPC or activated plugins I have.

Sorry, I misunderstood.
I‘m speaking of the blue login screen on the MPC.

Logging in and registering an Akai product on the website are no problem.
It's about this account on the MPC, where you can activate plugins.

Ah, sorry. What firmware is installed?
Sorry I dont recall the procedure exactly.

If you dont see "MPC" with number as a product in your account on the wbesite I assume it means the machine is not registered properly to your account.

I think its best to sort this out via the Akai support, since I *believe* they can also change registrations manually and such things.

Could it be that you have two accounts with Akai by accident, for instance?

It sounds like you are doing everything correctly. When you see the message that you can 'close the window' you should find that your MPC screen refreshes and you are logged into your account. If this is not happening then it's possibly an issue with Akai's authorisation server. I take it you are connected successfully to the internet on your MPC?

You can check that your ethernet connection is working by going to PREFERENCES > ETHERNET and ensuring it says 'connected' along with all the IP address details.

To double check it's actually working go to PREFERENCES > INFO and press the UPDATE button. Select 'online update' and if there is an issue with your connection you'll will receive a message ('mpc not connected to internet').
