MPC key 37 Stop pads from being triggered by keyboard?

New owner of the MPC key 37.
I want to be able to trigger samples from my pads while also playing a keyboard plug in on the keyboard. Currently the keyboard is also triggering pad samples and selecting banks.
How do I untether the keyboard from the pads?

I would like to know this too, I've been trying for ages.

I made a Template from the clips demo, deleted all the content and samples and saved it to the Templates folder.
I loaded it and gave it a new name and filled it with 16 samples. The keyboard did not change
the pads.
I loaded a second template, put some more samples in. In the second clips program the keyboard changed the pads.
I was hoping to be able to load several clip programs into one project. Any ideas?
