Akai is bringing the MPC closer & closer to the Darkside

Personally I like the new feature set of 3.x a lot and look forward to the final release.
Current bugs do not affect me, cause I'm "only" using it as sample based drum machine and as main sequencer for my synths rig.

The addition of disk streaming opens new territory for me as the MPC can now be used as a backing track and multitrack ping pong recording device without worrying about remaining RAM amounts. :)

Don't sleep on the macros. That's like one of the Force’s most powerful features. Hope the MPC will get the rest them like 16 envelope follower/16 LFOs.

Has anyone gotten the "Low on temporary space" warning with 3.0? I didn't see this before. I assume I have to clear space on the internal drive (which I don't even use for anything really) but not sure how to do that.

WTF+++++ :hmmm:
Downgrading for now hope it's just back in full MPC 3, or MPC 2.15 is my choice

Agree, there's no good reason to get rid of Clip Programs, unless they are planning on putting Forces' Clip/Midi triggering into MPC. File a bug: https://forms.office.com/r/zfb7GymJGp

get everyone you know to file a bug.

You can change the temporary file folder from the internal drive to an SD/SSD. Check the Preferences > Project Load/Save > Temporary File Location.

What's really odd is that, looking across all social media ATM, barely anyone seems to be talking about finally having disk streaming, yet this was one of the biggest feature requests for the past few years and one of the main reasons behind implementing unified tracks (and hence many of the other drastic changes, e.g. no per seq track mutes, no changeable programs per track etc).

Akai please implement proper midi file import. It still creates a new sequence and slows down workflow. Or if already possible how to do it?

Don't know who knows, but one might have suspicions

MPC oriented "mainstream" socials are cancer full of ill informed folks who care more about posting a picture of 3.x main screen titled "let's go !!! " than actually trying the thing. Same people write another post a minute later, asking where on the mixer is the fader that will turn down those funny "ocean noises" mpc produce.

You may throw any "modern sounding" feature at them and they will talk about it for years until you actually implement it. Once it's out they will wait for another feature completely ignoring current "new" one

maybe because (setting up) streaming involves quite a few tricks and on the beta it isn't standard sample behaviour?

same here, but on the other hand Ableton control surface is constantly dropping connection for some reason :(
Don't wan't to report it just yet until I narrow the issue but it seems that going back to 2.14/2.15 makes the connection solid.

Are you being affected by the midi/note off bug?

Oh I see, I did disconnect my USB cable cause Its humming and brumming (making noise) however I don't think its an OS 3 issue!? Maybe my cables are touching some electronics. I had no noise in 2.15. ???
