Don't know who knows, but one might have suspicions

I knew I was on to something :smoker: , but it's only logical they would put the clip-matrix in there at some point now that the arranger is there. I guess they didn't want to give MPC users too much Force all at once.
Now how the hell did you find that?

What a weird workaround for something so obvious and integral to the original design of the MPC.

the sample assign page still exists

Yes I found that eventually - but it’s still really frustrating not being able to have all the pads in a bank displayed for quick volume/pan/send control, much better for live work. While some of the improvements - q-link macros for example - have upped the game for live performance, the visual interface has really interfered with it too. And no samples named in the pad mixer?? That’s gotta be a mistake

MPC oriented "mainstream" socials are cancer full of ill informed folks who care more about posting a picture of 3.x main screen titled "let's go !!! " than actually trying the thing. Same people write another post a minute later, asking where on the mixer is the fader that will turn down those funny "ocean noises" mpc produce.

You may throw any "modern sounding" feature at them and they will talk about it for years until you actually implement it. Once it's out they will wait for another feature completely ignoring current "new" one

Not sure anymore what they were thinking making it a public beta.

I have the beta decompiled already but it's getting increasingly hard to follow logic and instructions in it as
the executable app itself is bloated to 70mb in size already. Current decompiled Ghidra project sits at roughly 850mb of data to be sifted through (that's a lot belive me :WTF: )
On the other hand - it doesn't have to be specificaly MPC part of instructions - that could be part of unified Foce code as well :hmmm:

I wonder if they created a suggestions form just for shit and giggles or they were serious about it lol
Imagine the amount of steaming fecal matter and guano pellets they will have to sift through after mpc gang boys find out the address of that form

nobody knows... you might find some clues here and there but at the end of the day it's up to Karen in finance department

EDIT:
if they didn't included it with the beta, it means it's not ready in the form that would allow to give it to people as a preview. It would be stupid and reckless for them to work on it now while they have so many other things to sort out before rolling out with a proper release.

these forums bring out the enthusiasts for sure. they're the ones who decompile the beta, read every tweet on whats coming and spend more time on these forums talking about the rumors/features vs actually making music and going on with life. we all knew when the beta dropped that there would be endless complaining on these forums. disk streaming is a massive feature, but its drowned out here by people who think akai got rid of time signatures, or clip programs. so you hear more noise than signal on these forums.

ive not encountered any bugs but my workflow is basic. i dont need a bunch of clips or tons of plugins - i make beats like im in 1989. i limit myself and that keeps me creative, but the more you beat this machine , for sure you will find bugs. thats why its public beta.

there are many many more people around the world who dont frequent forums who are enjoying the beta. how many times do you see people post up and say " golly gee wally, this beta 3.4 is massive! i love the new features and ive made some really good music on it!" you dont -- because they rather make music than complain about whats NOT on a beta -- thats just been out only 2 freaking days!!!!! lol

So you're complaining about people complaining even thought you knew beforehand that would be the case? Something don't seem right that, but you're free to do that. :?

There also many people saying that like MPC3 & why on here & other sites: https://www.elektronauts.com/t/mpc-thre ... 219118/359

On reddit most of the complaining is about shit not working like activation or just beta stuff - which is the point of the beta: https://www.reddit.com/r/mpcusers/

That's a very interesting find. Well it seems like Clips were actually part of the MPC 3 software in a version that was older than the one we got in the closed beta program (right on the day they announced the OS3) and the version that we had available to us was later than that one he is using in this video.
I guess the guy using this version is a member of an elite beta testing team ? Who knows

Seems like Akai has already implemented the clips in the new os but for some reason they decided to disable it (hopefuly for now).

All I understood was the magic part, but thanks & hopefully the MPC gets the Force like clip matrix has an option. The cool thing about the CM is that it wouldn't change the core of the MPC sequencer, but it will greatly improve it, esp now that tracks are programs & there's an arranger.

Keep being magical my Polish dude. Every forum needs people like you!

Know what would be cool?

'Arrange Pages' on the arranger view -- kind of already exists with the submixes/sends/outputs etc., so why not let you assign tracks to Arrange Pages 1 to (2-4)? Would be very nice for keeping sessions tidy and it somewhat brings back the classic MPC workflow by having a secondary page with sound producing tracks, then on page 1 only have MIDI sequencing tracks which are are sending their pattern data to the sound producing 'program' tracks.

Could also be 4 'group' labels which can be shown/hid individually.

not to brag about and not to ruin your day but as an example I want you to meet my dear Polish friend - 2020/2023/2024 finger drumming champion / 2012/2013/2015 IDA DJ Champion. Brought to you thanks to people like Fitz Kik or Ultros and their work, a modest guy I spent countless hours with decompiling stuff to suit his needs, a simple regular resident at MPC/Force Hacking group on FB, a guy who spend a lot of time on these groups talking about rumours/features instead of gettin on with his life. I other words - I wan't you to meet Steve Nash

yes, I heard they were part of first releases but apparently they were bugging out the system :Sigh:
I've tried to enable clips icon in the main menu already but it looks like they're disabled somwhere else in the main executable (I have a rough idea, where at). Anyway at least I know how to eficciently rearrange the menu to my liking
