Yeah, they've clearly put a lot of time into new features, but not to have addressed is disappointing. With all the plug ins they provided, to have such basic problems having two or more musicians access them at the same time seems baffling.

When did they drop the name retcon from "MIDI Production Center" to "Music Production Center"? Did they give up on fixing this bug and just call it a day on MIDI or what?

Agree, there's no good reason to get rid of Clip Programs, unless they are planning on putting Forces' Clip/Midi triggering into MPC. File a bug: https://forms.office.com/r/zfb7GymJGp

You can change the temporary file folder from the internal drive to an SD/SSD. Check the Preferences > Project Load/Save > Temporary File Location.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried this and rebooted and it still shows the error, which is weird. Is it possible to delete files from the internal drive? There is almost nothing stored there (I have intentionally stored files on the SD card).

Another error I get upon startup is "Splice sample folder could not be found. Please, check that your storage media is attached.". Weird because there's a Splice folder there. Maybe I need to login to Splice, which I haven't used in like a year (pain in the ass on the One because it doesn't have Wifi).

as for plugs, didn't even checked them yet as I expect yet another beta in the near future, besides it looks like they have different linux kernel, different / renamed services running etc... actually, under the hood it looks more like force than old mpc build (haven't played with force too much so I might be wrong) anyway most probably everything will change again soon so really there's no point in dealing with it rn.

don't trip on sshd_config - at the first time I didn't noticed they commented out PAM authentication lolol

this is all people wanted; along with the disk streaming, but fore some reason akai chose to be bold and radical, with their design choices.

But perhaps they have bitten off more then they can chew and made too many changes at once; likely driven by the need to make MPC simpler and more appealing to new users.

Despite this being a beta you would expect things to be more mature and less buggy; given the the fact that much of the functionality already within the force OS.

All of the time they have had developing the force software platform should of lead to a less beta-ish experince once ported over to the MPC.

maybe we need a JJOS leagacy 3.0; that keeps the old layout and features, but just adds in the mixer and sequencer block arranger. (am joking of course)

Akai have alot of work to do on this to get this thing ready; it will probably be on version 3.10 by the time it comes out.

Just changing the Temporary File location to SSD does not clear the error. How does one clear space on the Internal drive?

Actually, in another forum I saw that they were aiming at removing scales altogether. We simply just set a single frequency for the project and bam, done. Makes for a very simple way to compose. Fast music for the future generation.
