Beta versions are for ironing out bugs, well I presumed?

No time signatures is an absolute JOKE.

6/8 (slow ballads) as we call it, pretty much an absolute necessity for popular music let alone the more advanced signatures.

MPCX going on ebay.

If you need 6/8 for a slow ballad, the joke is on you. Activate the TRIPLET option and do your slow ballad. Even the Force supports that, it will give you a 12-steps-per-bar step sequencer with 1/8 triplet TC, or 24 steps per bar for 1/16T.

Yeah right.

My goodness me, I’ve been playing 9/4 patterns for 40 years. It’s a Greek traditional pattern. Google it and educate yourself before putting others down.

The inch ruler logic and 9/16ths is complete made-up rubbish. It's incredible what sort of nonsense people claim on the internet. Why study and learn when you can simply make stuff up?!

On the Force you can kind of do odd meters with the scene/clip launch matrix, if you trim your clips to the desired length, for example 7*4*2 beats for 2 measures of 7/4, and then set Launch Quantize to 1/4. The only problem is, you'll have to press the scene launch button very precisely on time, during the last beat before the next scene should start.

So I tried getting some clarity on Time Signatures in 3 directly from Akai support. Needless to say the reply doesn't clear anything up at all. In fact the lack of transparency makes me more convinced that things are not headed in the direction of time signatures returning to MPC 3 any time soon.
