Hi there,
I'm wondering... is there another way around? I mean the opposite way. After so many updates and stuff aftwr I'm still strugling with midi-map-midi-learn assigning deepdive menu-elements to learn midi map lines... makes me crazy... please tell me I missed something and we are alread there: you find somethin in a program/submix/reurn/etc insert1234 slot and want to control it with midimix (for example) then you
1) just select the parameter
2) hit midi learn
3) hit the button/turn the potmeter

And thats it. U can call it ableton style. Honest! Did mpc for 7 years before takrn a peek at ableton...

So is this there yet? Or we are still bound to be doomed with midi-map>hitlearn>deepdive.whatever you want to map??

I make music pretty fast by now on my mpc live. They are nice. Im doing live performing as well, no song mode no midiCC capured... like to do it with my hands. 4 qlinks arent enough I need the 3 knobs/8x submix... now. That is 3x8 >> 24 times deepdive + 8 volume and perhaps another 8 times solo. Per PROJECT. TAkes a lot.of energy...

And of course... it it buggy. Lines diappearing, types disappearing, stuff like that...

Please let me.know if this has been already solved or if there is a pc/android app to do it nicely...

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I hope that comes to light. I've got a template with 7 banks of my Launchpad mapped to 5 synths. Its over 230 mappings so far. I guess I will need to redo this when I move to MPC3 and set up a new template. Would be good to do these in a text file, and also be able to share them.

With my Launchpad, I learn all 32 knobs and faders first, then assign them after, by moving a control then assigning. Seems a quicker workflow that's easier to avoid missing out a control and then easier to manage mis- assignments.

Thanks for the answers. Sadly I thought so... About import/export... I wrote some Javascript back then that populated the submixes with the 1-4 effects with settings and also copied the whole midi mapping. Its basic xml as far as I remember. Funny nobody (including me) ever made a drag and drop tool for it (Im not really a programmer)... maybe I'll dig into it and see what happens....It would be great to just copy a whole effect (with mapping references) and idontknow paste it somewhere else... Precius time again not making music but coding :Sigh: hate it alread xD
Anyways. Funny that there's no such thing...

In MPC3, Q-Link Learn has been improved (you can now access Learn from the drawer menu).
I hope MIDI Learn will be similarly updated.

You wrote code and that makes you a programmer - just like making bleeps and bloops on a synth' makes us musicians. Just say no to imposter syndrome !

I was going to say the same thing, but I wasn't sure if I was the right person to do so.
