Hi guys just a quick update.

Spoke to a friend who suggested purchasing the larger ni s49 mk3, which I’d love to do.

If I purchased this keyboard would it do what I wanted to originally do, which was send midi to Cubase over usb, but also send midi to the mpc through the additional 5din midis ports that it has.

Thanks guys

Things were much simpler back in the day when only 5-pin MIDI existed.
You bought a MIDI interface to your computer and connected the MIDI out from your keyboard to this interface’ IN. Then from that same interface’ OUT to whatever synth or sound module ’s IN that you wanted to use.
And if you had more synths you daisychained them (to some extent) or you got a larger MIDI interface with multiple OUTs.
Simple.

except when you had a snake of 8 or so cables wrapped together, both cable ends had the wrong IN/OUT written on them... or mismatched synth names... or... you sell off a synth, but never relabel the cables :D

Still tended to make plenty of things simpler though
