How can I assign regions to pads?

I have 16 regions selected. How can I assign them to 16 pads so that they’re usable? I asked chatGPT and it said to choose ‘Convert’ option. Cannot find convert option. Why is this so troublesome? Forced to do it manually

Attempting to do it manually but the indicators are now stuck and aren’t moving outwards smh

Edit: had to restart MPC and record sample all over again. It’s like trying to start a flame with sticks and stones.
