Mpc2000 lights on, no start

Hi, I've been meaning to get my old mpc2000 up and running again. Just doesn't boot tho. Only lights, no attempt to access the disc (now a usb disc emulator) but it used to work in this configuration, I guess I just left it sitting unused too long..
Any ideas?

is it the lights for the pad banks and full level that stay on or just the screen?

is anything written on the screen?

have you tried holding shift while spinning the jog wheel?

It's totally unresponsive so shift does nothing. The screen full on with no image. All the LEDs on.
Is like what it does before booting, but it's not starting to boot, no disc access etc, just lights.

okay. well one thing that never hurts to try is to unplug and replug every connector and ribbon cable inside the machine to make sure they are all properly seated... this has fixed similar issues for me in other MPC models before. if you have the fx or 8 output expansion, unplug them and try turning on the machine.. maybe you can narrow down a faulty part somewhere. good luck.
