This is why I don't like to deal with J. Most people can allow for innovation even tho the new thing wouldn't be for them. They could still why others would like it. Closed minded traditionalist will shut down innovation with with BS logic.

Mind you, your talking to a dude that's hating on 32 pads because it not a true Roger Linn's classic design but owns Live 1. The first MPC with a battery. This wasn't part of the classic design, but if innovation benefits his needs than it's OK. Dude got big time narcissistic vibes. Arguing will only waste your time & energy.

Then he mentioned the MPC Keys. Wow!

of course am cool with innovation; I have nothing against the 61 key or the 37 key or the Force.

but when u say u want to change the 4X4 16 pad setup; that is a fundamental tennant of the MPC brand.

and there is no reason to change that; for those who want different they can get the Force or the 37 key, etc.

BS logic like I said. For those that want 32 pads the option should be there. I already explained to some of the benefits. But you claimed there are none nor can you think of any way how a extra bank would be useful, but you don't have a problem with innovation. WOW!

Mind you, I never said they should stop making 16 pad MPCs. Just that this would be a dope alternative for some users (other than you) that may want more pads but not the Force or a MPC/MIDI controller with 64 pads nor a MPC with key. Just a extra bank of 16.

You don't think there's a market for that amongst MPC users?

You do know everyone isn't an MPC traditionalist & that there was the MPC500 with 12 pads & people still got it. So there go your BS of the MPC 16 pad theory.

Since you mentioned the greats, you really think none of them wouldn't had used & some even loved a MPC with 32 pads?

You think they all would've shit on it because no other MPC ever had that & would've only preferred & used MPCs with 16 pads?

Cool things you can do with more pads:

AKAI Force Tutorial - 8x8 Dilla's Dream -->by Ex-Akai worker Nick Trikakis. -->Cool way to setup the 64 Pads for Finger-Drumming.
*The pads lights don't look good in this video. Way better in person & they can be turned off.

This is a ruff demo some dude made to show off the technique of using the same 6 samples copied 8 times across the pads & each having different FXs. I skipped to part where he was loading:

The 61 and 37 are completely new takes on the MPC and introduced features that no other MPC ever had before it. Who are you to dictate what an MPC should or should not have? Stop standing in the way of progress and keep your mouth shut. Nothing would ever move forward with people like you. Sad.

Me giving my opinion does not equate to me dictating anything, u seem to interpret my ideas as authoritarian; but thats in ur head.

How is me giving my opinion on an idea on a public forum standing in the way of anything?

As if Akai is going to read my post and take action based on what I have written, In ur mind u seem to ascribe me far to much power :worthy: I'm flattered (NOT)

My perspectives wont impact Akai's design choices or product direction; I am simply sharing my views just as everyone else on this forum shares their views.

Its very interesting that my opinions seem to trigger u into an emotional rage

That's the thing, you don't present your posts as "opinion". You present them as "this is the way it is and this is the way it should be". You frequently oppose anything that seems to fly outside of your myopic view of what an MPC is or can be, and never hesitate to respond to posts that sit outside your narrow interpretation. That's not opinion - that's taking an active role in being adversarial to anyone and any ideas that you disagree with and arguing just for the sake of arguing. How is that a healthy approach to any community forum? :hmmm:

Maybe it's a writing issue on your part that you can work on, but taking into consideration your past posts here, I doubt you can do that.

Seriously this!

J, it how you Stat your "opinions" that's the problem & when presented with facts that that disprove your theory you either double down or ignore it. Then you play the victim like "Oh, I don't I know why your getting so offended from little ol' me. I'm a dude on the web giving my opinion."

If this is something that keeps happening to you then your the common denominator. I know your not gonna do it but go on YouTube & look up how not to come off like jerk in internet forums or something. I don't think you mean to upset people like a troll, I think you don't know how to look at your communication style objectively to see why this keeps happing.

Wouldn't you hate it if someone kept presenting their opinion to you as a factual statement & then that person who not only missed your point, shut down the your idea & insulted to you & when you point out their BS, they say to you "I don't know why your letting my opinion get you so upset. Really bro?

Pretty sure anyone who posts their opinion on a forum does so in the same matter of fact manner; ie they will say it as they see it from their own personal perspective, so not sure why u take offence when I speak in that same way.

The problem appears to be an interpretation issue; based on how u process the perspectives I convey in my posts; somehow u ascribe too much authority and importance to my viewpoint, and then u react with anger.

I simply persent my view on whatever topic I see fit to coment on; its not done to be an adversary or to argue; this u assigning additional meaning to my post.

Perhaps it's my writing style, that triggers u; but I like to approach writing in shortform like punchlines, so I want the style to be minimal and direct as possible.

Far as myopic viewpoints and narrow ideas; I agree; cos I have a very simplistic approach to production and gear technology; so much of minute gear details I dont care about, I just chime in on the limited aspects that are of personal interest.

maybe just a lil bit of trolling, but its mostly its just my viewpoint;

I think 16 pads should remain the standard for MPC's,

The part where I mentioned the legacy of roger linn, that part was indeed trolling.
