My hope is that we might get some short of a lexicon inspired reverb or at least an Ether lite or sth. (oh please be ether lite)

yeah, reverb in mpc became „lacking” over the years. They could at least change the signal flow in the algo a little bit to make it a bit more lush. For example, let’s take a look at „Plateau” by Valley, it is exactly same open source „Dattorro” algorithm as the one in MPC but in „8” configuration. Compared to mpc it’s night and day, just take a listen to any random video on YT - on the other hand, why would they waste time and work on something that’s out the door already

That’s the sound of a reverb I’d hoped MPC would have. Instead I spend alot of time TRYING to get a good sound. I too, would really like a new/revamped reverb. An AIR REVERB PRO that is on par with Delay Pro?!?!

Delay was already out the door too. Delay Pro came along and saved the day.

"thinking" and "hoping for" are two different things - as mentioned before, cutoff could be potentially used as a decoy, check the placement of that knob in relation to a "whole unit" - it doesn't seem to be placed in a much significant spot. Also, many of the "90s/2k" algorithmic reverbs had an EQ/Filter section for further sculpting of a reverberation (Lexicons, TC Electronics, Eventides - you name them)

That would be **** hilarious if they ended up doing that.

Yeah, I got frustrated to the point I bought dedicated reverb pedal

nope never used it

but having more warm analog filter model options can never be bad

From the site:
"We are bringing you a new creative approach to a classic effect processor. Inspired by our favorite features and character of legendary hardware from the last three decades, this brand-new plugin works on your desktop DAW and standalone MPC."

It's an classic FX processor with features from different gear. It sounds more like a multi FX box with deepncustomizable parameters. I'm interested in the new approach part. Macro friendly?

They never released a plugin this way before so it must be something major. One of the mystery red ninja clan's favorite ways of torture is ball tickling

I feel that frustration and use Kronos2 most times as an fx unit (Kronos2 has great touch screen virtual pedals as well)..

Reverbs in Kronos2 are the lush reverbs that we all are used to in good hardware.
The reverbs are also on par, even better than asr-10 reverbs that I’ve loved forever.
Also use the reverb inside rme ufx which is fabulous imo.
