Hi Fellows,
I took my MpC 5000 apart… cleaned it… put it back together… plugged it in and recognized a burned smell… opened it and I saw that flat cable that connects the Main PCB to the ControlPcb with the numerical and Jogwheel on it! It’s that flatcable that looks out from the inside, just under the mainvolume knob!
I checked everything for burns, but it was really just that 28pin flatcable! So I ordered a new one and that one also burnt. So I checked everything again… I can not find a other burned source!
I checked the ControlPcb and can’t find any visual folds… I thought that there is a 1uf SMD Cap missing on C16 but I checked some images online and none of them picture had a Cap on C16 so it seems to be blank from factory! Right?
So as nothing is missing or burn3d on that PCB… I am clueless
Iam hoping for someone who had some sort of same problems and figured it out probably.
Any Advice would so much of help right now!
