I love this thing!
Has anyone else had experiences using the BOSS DR3?
I would recommend it. I actually sold my MPC ONE and I have 3 DR3's.
I am gifting one, maybe two... So I will have one that has my best work on it
Things I like. Typically un-used sounds. This machine has 100 preset drum loop bass parts.
It's geared to a guitar is for practice, or making your own backing track in leiu of a band.
But ya- there's a bass part, which goes down to like, super sub - bass. The DR 880 from what I remember (have to try it again) doesn't let you make the bass go that low.
There's minimal kits so you can get to know them... maybe pick your favorites. I also used the FX to make some cool shit. You have reverb, EQ, and compression. and they're all adjustable, so I made this super long 20 second reverb .
Anyway. This machine is so cheap. That's what I like about it. It may be hated as a cheesy toy but I like it. Rocks.
I actually sold my MPC ONE. If I get an MPC again I only need the sampler part of it. So maybe a 1k, 2kxl. I really didn't like how the ONE is so over-powered and has a touch screen.
well cool-
but a DR3! They're like 60$
Peace,
JD
