Wassup MPC heads
Key commands speed up your workflow when using any software and with the mpc software standalone they bring it one step closer to hardware workflow.
I did not see these mentioned in the manual (maybe they are in MPC-Tutors book?) so thought I would share the ones I have found and maybe everyone can contribute the ones they use. These are for mac but its the same for windows, you would just need to replace the "⌘" key with CTRL. Not sure which as I never owned a PC.
They bring the software workflow closer to the mode+(function) on the newer MPCs or shift+function on the older machines.
These are the ones I use:
⌘+1 main mode
⌘+2 program edit
⌘+3 program mixer
⌘+4 track mixer
⌘+5 track view
⌘+6 next sequence
⌘+7 record sample
⌘+8 edit sample
⌘+9 song mode
⌘+0 pad mute
⌘+( -) track mute
⌘+(+) step sequence
⌘+S save
⌘+Z Undo
⌘⇧+Z Redo
⌘⇧} go to next sequence
⌘⇧{ go to a previous sequence
⌘+{ next track up
⌘ +} next track down
Wish there were shortcuts for Zooming in and out of the wave form in sample editing , and for Record/overdub like they do in PRO TOOLS (⌘+space bar) but I haven't found them
I find these extremely useful when working with standalone
MPC software
Feel free to add anything thats not mentioned
Peace
