AIR delay pro issue: no knobs visible on standalone

I also have the same issue with that plugin. i had to relink the buttons to /usr/share/Akai/lalal/synths/AIR Music something something generic. Annoying quirk.. i recall giving that zip to a buncha ppl too because I wasnt the only one.

Yes, they messed up a little bit as the path to the knobs and meters in TUI file for this particular plugin is relative instead of absolute.
It start with "../../Air Components/" meaning that Shared directory must be two levels above "Plugin Skins" directory regardless of its location.
Ther are two solutions only:
1. Change the path in TUI to absolute one, pointing to internal drive (az01-internal/yadayada/)
2. Unzip given file to synths directory and let us take over your smart dishwasher

So some time ago I got a reply from customer support and they provided a solution that is also working. I reverted everything from the solution above and put in the old folder to test this approach.

- update to latest 2.x OS or downgrade If on Beta (you can upgrade to the beta again later)
- delete the folder corresponding to the plugin in your synth folder using the browser of the mpc
- change download location for plugins to internal
- install delay pro to the internal storage (you can change this afterwards and install further plugins to your SD or wherever you like again).

This does the trick and as the delay pro only needs little storage I don't see a major issue with saving it to internal. I'm running the beta again and installed further plugins to the SD again. Everything works fine so far.

Ps: the whole process doesn't work when on 3.x. I tested it. The installation needs to be done on 2.x

Did anyone ever solve this issue? I've tried putting the zip in the synth folder and it didn't work.

I had the same problem with my MPC Live with 3.6 and Air Delay Pro installed on an internal SSD drive.

TLDR : "Air Components" folder on the MPC is missing png files, copy "Air Components" folder from MPC Software to the MPC SSD drive via USB.

As mentionned by dustyslices, I had indeed the same missing elements in "Air Components" folder :
""Most importantly, this directory contains "knobLgUniDirBlue" (knob_blue_lg.png), knoLgUniDirGreen etc...etc... that what's you looking for.""

So the few steps below solved my problem :
* Install MPC Software in order to get the "correct" files on a computer (On windows, the interesting folder is located in C:\Program files\Akai Pro\MPC\Synths\Air Components). The knob_blue_lg.png and other files should be there.
* Launch MPC in Controller Mode and USB plug it to computer.
* Browse the SSD drive of the MPC, go to the folder where plugins are installed and go to the "Synths" folder: there should be an "Air Components" folder on the MPC SSD.
* Just in case, backup/rename this "Air Components" folder on the MPC SSD to whatever ("_old Air Components")
* Copy the "Air Components" folder from the computer (C:\Program files\Akai Pro\MPC\Synths\Air Components) to the "Synths" folder on the MPC SSD Drive.
* Switch back MPC in Standalone Mode.
