Mapping MPK 25

Hello, I was wondering if I could get some help.

I am trying to map my MPK 25 to Ableton to set up Auto Filter (On/Off) using the S1 button on the MPK 25 , Filter Sweeps using what ever nob I choose etc.

When I try to MIDI Map in Ableton using Command M & then by clicking on what ever paramater I want to map, nothing transfers over to the MIDI Mappings.

Or is there a way to set this up globally in the MPK 25 using the Vyzek Program? This way I can go to Preset 2 on my MPK 25 and have everything all laid out ahead of time.

For some reason that program seems to be buggy on my Mac.

Most of the MPD/MPK's include a Live preset, if you have one just use that. The knobs automatically control the macros on Live's FX/Devices.

If it does include a Live preset as stock and you erased it press "Preset" and then press the ">" key 10 times until you see "Factory Defaults". Press the encoder knob to do the reset to defaults.

The Auto filter knobs respond to MIDI CC #'s 22-29.

Yes I did have the default "Live Lite"

I am trying to set it up to my specs, the Live Lite preset had stuff all over the place.

Is there a way to set up everything for what I want to do in Live inside the app for the MPK 25 or on the MPK 25 itself?

The MPK25 program seems buggy on my Mac.

Press Edit on the MPK, turn the knob want to change the MIDI CC # assignment on, and map the knobs to MIDI CC #'s 22-29. Save the preset.

Or do the same in the Vyzex app and save the preset and dump it to the MPK.

Disable all other MIDI ports except the MPK in the Vyzex app and it may be less problematic.

There isn't one.

You have to go in the Live control surfaces preferences and select the MPK from the list. Then activate the Track and Remote ifor the MPK in the MIDI ports list.

The setting in Control Surface portion tells Live to use it's built in Remote script for the MPK. Then all the pre made assignments in the Live preset will work automatically.

The second part of the settings under MIDI ports allows Live's remote asignment mode to be used. The toggle for the remote mapping is in the upper right corner. The other toogle in the upper right corner is to makeremote assignmentsfor a QWERTY keyboard.

Any assignments made in remote mode a only on a per song file basis and will not be recalled when starting a new Live song file.

Hello! I'm a beginner, I successfully have the pads mapped and the q knobs assigned with MPC Beats, but I can't figure out how to assign the record button on the mpk25 to trigger record on MPC Beats. The same with selecting pad bank A to pad B and so on, Ill have midi learn on, I select the record function to be mapped, but when I hit the record button on my mpk to learn it, nothing happens. Also what program should the MPK25 be on to work best with MPC Beats? Thank you!
