in MPC Beta 3...

Not sure if this a Bug or not...Or whether or not it was mentioned. I tried to search it. But...Lately I've noticed that When Stem a Sample out, Add it to a Program, Process it, etc....When It comes time to Save my Project, I get a "Cannot Save XPJ to Location". I'm unable to save to ANY Location. Happened a couple of Times. My 1st occurrence, I had abandon the whole Beat. 2nd Time...I was able to save most of my Drum Programs separately. Finally I bounced my main Track to an Audio File. Then I noticed, It's only happening with my Stem Files.
My only workaround is to Stem a File, Process it, then Bounce It To an Audio File...THEN Delete anything Associated with the Original Stem. Only then Am I able to save Projects as Normal.

Let me know if I'm the only one experiencing this!

possibly sample name length messes up the system.
Notice that when you name/rename your sample, it's allowed to have 32 characters only and although you can load a sample with much longer name, renaming it will truncate the name to 32 characters. When you stem out a sample it will contain waaaay more characters in a format such as:
samplename + [timestamp - 19 characters including brackets] + - type of stem (bass/drums etc) so in some circumstances the name of a sample might be possibly way longer than it can save (?)

True indeed. But I've renamed my Stems Super short and simple. I was wondering if someone can duplicate my Problem to see if its a Bug or not. I Duplicated it Three times already. I may be doing somethin stupid lol

disregard that bit as it turned out that samples I was loading had those timestamps in the name already ([2024-12-17 165321]) :WTF: so it's not the stem function that add unnecessary characters
anyway, I've spent last half an hour loading/stemming/truncating/renaming etc... and each time was able to save the project without any problems :hmmm:
I mean, normally I don't use stems extensively so maybe there's something I don't do  but reason I tried is that you're not the only person mentioning this behaviour. I've seen a couple of posts on FB regarding exactly this issue as well :?

Its been Hit or Miss...with the "NOT Saving Projects with Stems". All I know is when I bounce the Track with something Stemmed, to a Wav, then reload the Wav to another track, and Delete the Stemmed Track, only then am i able to Save my Project
