Can you change the pad function in a MIDI program?

Hello - I want to have a MIDI program where the pads don't send notes but various MIDI CCs, latching, momentary, continuous CC based on pad pressure, etc... Is this possible?

Or would I have to configure MIDI control mode and I'd be sending notes and the functions from control mode at the same time?

No, with MPC os 2, it is not possible to assign CC to a pad on a MIDI track. You can do that with most AKAI MPD controllers though. A MPC isn't a MPD.

On the Force you can use 64 or 4 banks of 16 pads as macros & assign CC#s to them. Hopefully that MPC will get these pad macros in the future.

Thanks for the responses. Seems like this is something that should be possible but all good, I'll find another way.
