I remember one of the best things I ever did for 2kxl was to get the eb-16 efx card. It made a WORLD of difference.

I’m betting this will give people that same feeling I had back then.

The day I finally give up on Akai and the midi note off bug and buy an S2400 is steadily getting closer.
Imagine having a midi sequencer that doesn't kill notes!

I must be one unlucky mfer as I need to send back a 2nd unit...
I placed an order like a month ago (very soon after posting here) and it came with some minor cosmetic issues. Nothing big, but enough to get a replacement.
The 2nd one arrived last Monday, I finally had time to sit down with it yesterday and today and one of the Mute buttons is getting stuck.
I either have to pull it up with my nails or wait for it to get un-stuck :Sigh:

I'm gonna give it one more chance, but if the 3rd unit is also faulty then I'm sticking to my 1000/2500 + JJOS and Logic combo.

Very unlucky it seems. You have a lot of patience. It’s a good enough machine to try again. After 3 I’d give up too.

I had to send the first one back because of misplaced solo and mute buttons sensor. The second one came just fine. You really have been unlucky, hope the 3rd is the charm. Sorry to hear that.

Yeah, I'm not in a hurry, but I’m starting to run out of patience.
I also tried resampling like 5 minutes ago and it also seems to be broken unless I missed some fundamental setting. I set the "Input Trim" knob on the back max to the right as stated in the manual and I got a barely audible audio. I tried setting the knob the other way and then there's no audio at all. So it seems like internally something is broken too.

Glad to hear you got all sorted out so quickly! Yeah, I really do hope the 3rd one is the last one, fingers crossed.

This is a bug from the latest firmware from last week. I reported it and it seems to be fixed in today's firmware update. BTW the Input Trim is trimming if you put it to the max...You should leave it to the "max" counterclock wise, if that makes sense.

Thanks! I updated firmware on Thursday I think and after updating to the newest version from Friday resampling works now.
