Actually, I am using it in a "sampler legacy" way these last months, just using it as a sample player with fx, adding sometimes a bit of weird rythmic sounds from Opx4 and I am really liking it.
I mean, you can load long samples and do whatever you do with them, manipulate, slice, destroy them with stutter or distortions or granulator or whatever, or you can leave them as they are, eq them, a bit of reverb and so on.
As I stopped programming drum beats and bass lines and tube synths, I started to like it more and more.
It's still very useable in a legacy way, if you want.
The only thing is that it's much better to prepare your samples on a computer (I use Audition) and then port them inside Mpc internal disk.
And I have to say that once you play them on Mpc, they sound damn good and the fx make their job greatly.
