Yeah that's awesome, means Linn is making some cash off presenting the MPC, and more than likely he will be showing off Linnstrument integration like in this vid he posted a few days ago. Really cool stuff, owning both a Linnstrument and MPC, there's always the hope that the MPC gets MPE support natively, workarounds aren't that hard for Linn's instrument, but native would be amazing.

Side note Linn is a Jazz and solo lead player enthusiast, he really wants music to get more solos and I have no doubt that to reps he's mentioned the lack of time signatures in the MPC3 software which is IMO a nice boost to those of us wanting time signatures back sooner rather than later. Makes me think it's going to come in an update sometime this year.

according to one of the artists featured in the Akai presentation in NAMM Akai are defo announcing new MPC's at NAMM.

Also side note Madlibs house burned down in the LA fire, so his whole bombshelter studio and record collection burned up; thats just sad

Spitballing, and not trying to make up rumors but what if the next level of MPC was powerful enough to host VSTs? I mean there was the Muse receptor using Linux to host VSTi's 15 years ago.

There would be a endless amount of old MPC headz crying about it not being a "real" MPC or something like that. Even if the core stuff stays the some & the VSTs are optional.

Probably just converted to mpc or NI is releasing packs for MPC..
There's no way to run kontakt in present MPCs, it's a huge processor hog, even on modern computers

Ya'll need to temper your expectations. NAMM will be 100% software related. Probably mostly MPC 3 stuff, and the aforementioned things that have been floating around in social media screen grabs. Bet any one of ya'all any amount of money, right now.
