Audio trough question

Is it possible to connect a synth audio out to the line in on the MPC Live and run signal through the mixer with fx? Just if it was an audio track.

I want to add a synth to my setup but I would like to skip a mixer to the mix.

Yes, using audio tracks

It's possible but there's some latency. At least if you play the synth from the Live through MIDI which is what I have tried, but the audio converting may well be the main cause of the latency for all I know.
