Yeah, third parties for MPC is not a bad idea at all.
I will definitely skip NI ones, really not for me but it opens up many possibilities.

And what do you know about improved keygroups? Is there anything more? Some was speaking about a mod matrix but I didn't see any on the video.

Keygroups now have 2 filters, 4 lfos, 4 envelopes, a comprehensive 32 slot mod matrix, utilities page and more. It’s a huge upgrade.

And yet, no support for time signatures.

Seems there are now adjustable slopes for each envelope stage and at least unipolar keyboard tracking for the filters. Someone also mentioned portamento over in the GS Live thread.

No, but it is stated in the release notes that they are definitely working on adding this (along with the MIDI note off bug).

Hmm things seem to be really shaping up. Apparently they care about actually improving things beyond just plugins after all. Who would have thunk? I mean I see they have made some substantial changes to the arranger/mixer but I haven't looked much into that yet as I'm still on OS 2 point something. Good think I ordered a Key 37. It was mainly for traveling purposes and it felt kinda like a luxury purchase just to avoid having to rely on a MIDI keyboard but now I suddenly feel a lot better about it.

Just watched loopops video - plugins sound half assed in comparison to NI equivalent, moreover why should I pay for sh**t that's already free on NI website ? (products --> free ---> Analog Dreams) lolol. Not my cup of tea but I understand that some folks will have their screens all jizzed up because of that (and I respect that) but do yourself a favour and run your plugin skins through some png compressor as they can take 110mb of ram for a single plugin. Regarding keygroups - I told you so lol it's a powerfull shit when used with single cycle waveforms, still no CV though

Akai made NI bend the knee; they could not compete with Akai, so they had to join dem and get that sound pack money.

Think for a minute - what did akai got out this "deal"? a patch, a bandaid that covers years old bugs and a little bit of eye candy to boost the release ?
Meanwhile NI added another brand to their evergrowing nks2 portfolio - they creating an ecosystem that in the future, every brand will want to gravitate towards and when they do .... they will have to pay license fee. It's similar to their Kontakt scheme where if you want to create a library that is using 100% of their engine + have the ability to add this library to the libraries tab on the side and the browser, you will have to pay licence fee.
