 HALLELUJAH! Finally! This will make a substantial difference. And 11 voice unison! I wonder how that will hold up with 8 layers and long release times

Did they publish some kind of overview? The sources are shown in the video but not the destinations or "targets" as they seem to call them. I hope to God the modulation is bipolar

I didn't feel the GAS to buy the plugins right now as Ill be too busy to dig into them but I bought anyway just to show NI and Akai day 1 support. This partnership is probably being tested out right now so if the plugins don't prove to be worth Native Instruments time, that may reduce the possibility of a long stream of new plugs and expansions.

Just to point out something, people were already using NI expansions on the MPC so NI was losing access to a very interested customer base. I feel like it was a no brainer to license the expansions but the plugins were rather unexpected. To throw another wrench in the machine, NI was not in the best financial situation a few years back. InMusic buying NI is probably more possible than it has ever been.

Didnt NI announce huge venture investments a few years back to develop something incredible that will change the industry?
What happened to that?

Akai probably paid NI to rebuild the keygroups. NI has lots of experience with sample based and hybrid synths.

I reckon that the whole new keygroup stuff was necessary to make any of the Play series work on an MPC.

Note also that the still half assed XY macro screen seems to be reused in the Play series UI in a great way.

Sidenote: I call the XY macro screen half assed as it is for me cumbersome to use. and I stll haven't found way to use it outside of its edit (!) screen.

yea they gave that shit away in 2020 during lockdown. like that first month when everybody was forced to stay home.

cloud supply and faded reels were part of komplete 13. which was about 4-5 years back. still kinda funny that akai got these plugins on standalone before maschine.

In the sequence section there is an option to change bar length, isn't that the same thing really?

No, that's a workaround (that us Force users have had to do since Day 1) and it doesn't allow you to hit every time signature. Thankfully Akai have acknowledged the user base needs this and are working on bringing it back. :smoker:

I picked up the Nacht plug-in last night. Great sounds, but it does seem like it's quiet compared to the rest of the mix. Even dialing the level knob up all the way on the plug-in main page it barely hit 1/4 of the height of the meter.

Akai has been saying that since day one to us Force users. Why can't they stop giving us all these unneeded (but nice to have) plugins & focus on giving us things like time-sigs & fix the major bugs? ...Oh yeah, because people keep buying them. We need to form a Akai customer union or something.

Now pass that joint. :smoker:

I'm not seeing this at all. I would definitely use this.

Is this part of 3.4.1? If so, how do you get to this page?
