Standalone sampling directly from laptop (no cable).

Is it possible to sample in Standalone using something like Loopback audio, from a source like YouTube?

This is a really simple process when sampling into the software.

You can't run youtube and loopback on the MPC. What's your idea on doing it without a cable?

I’ve been traveling a lot and haven’t used the controller mode in months, so now I’m really comfortable using standalone mode.

However when I was using the Mpc software I liked being able to sample directly from YouTube. It’s just a very convenient way of sampling. I’m able to do it in Ableton too of course.

Do you happen to use Ableton with your MPC?

You could of course do your sampling in the computer of your YouTube stuff and save that (those) sample(s) to a memory card and then plug the memory card in the MPC. Voila - no cable.

Might even be a smoother way. Ditch the laptop and just use a usb->3.55mm out from a cell phone. Same idea pretty much.
