Please help me!! Midi is driving me crazy MPC, P.tools,Motif

Ok I just got an MPC (before I was doing it with my PC and softwares)
I have Protools LE (M bOX), Midiman 4x4 midisport, Motif6, MPC 2000XL and problems!!

What I want is to control my motif from my mpc(That I got already) but when I change banks on the motif it changes the whole sequence!! how can I keep what I already have (drums etc...) and chnage banks on the motif to add strings for example without having all my druim sequence playing strings??
Also how do I do to set up pro tools to start the MPC so when I press record in pro toolls the mpc play?
I tried all the seeting in the "pheripherical" menu but can't get it to work.
Please help me out since I don't know anything about midi.

set sync in to MIDI channel 1 or 2 whichever the MIDI in is plugged to
set mode to MIDI clock
set the MIDI tempo in the MIDI options window in PT to the same rate as the MPC and your off, Hope this helps a little, I dont have a Motiff so I cant help you there, but there should be a screen that sets the midi in capabilities to sync w other hardware.

Thanks man I'm gonna try that, also anybody familiar with the motif? I can't get it to play different sound banks for each track on the mpc
