Hello!
Just made upgrade on MPC X to firmware 3.4.1. and got massage from subject.
No sound, no option to choose audio device in preferences.
MPC X is working but there is no sound...
Downgraded to 2.14.1... still same problem...
I'm kinda lost...
Any idea?
Thx.

I had the same problem, twice.
It started with severe crackles and then died out completely.

I fixed it by inserting via usb a sound device (in my case a sound card module). I restarted the machine and then the internal soundcard option came back again .
There is something that happens on the software side of things

Peace bro !
Which usb sound did you end up going with? I have this same problem where my mpc live 1 is giving me error messages and my internal audio drive isn’t working. It’s been like this for months now sometimes it does work but less times than it doesn’t, and I can only use my mpc with my interface which is annoying because it defeats the purpose of it being “portable” .. I wanted to know what usb module you used and just some information about it in general I just learned something new reading your comment and I was hoping this might be a solution for me! .. how as it been working for you? and when you used it did it fix your internal audio drive altogether.. thanks in advance!!!

others who have had this issue, removed the back cover and reinserted the plugs on the boards. worse case, the carrier board is faulty and needs to be replaced.
