Unsurprisingly people are still unhappy, but we are in a better place with keygroups than we were in 2.15.

No problem with people offering further suggestions on how to make things even better, just don't understand some of the very OTT criticisms about a part of the OS that has actually been improved.

Then possibly they will sort it out with future updates.
Maybe.
The marketing target doesn't care about that, so Akai is concentrated on other features.
Nothing wrong or bad with that, but let's be clear.

Tutor was clear. I mean, Tutor is literally a commercial sound designer who makes Expansions and sells them - here on this very website, so - if he feels Advanced Keygroups is an improvement, who are we to say it's not? :hmmm:

Oh come on my friend, I really have enough of you, it's like talking to a teenager at high school.
Go and write something on the LFO destinations thread, make something useful

You know what I would love?
An Lfo sent to the effect parameters.
Imagine to modulate in sync the decay of a reverb or the sound width of Air stereo width.
You can make a sound breathe with a Sine or open and close abruptly with a Square.
Possibilities become endless, you can modulate the feedback of the delay, the bitsamples, the sustain of the filter gate, so the tremolo gets shorter and longer in sync and more and more.
This way, the box starts to be interesting.

I haven't messed with it, but it might be possible to use clip like an LFO? especially in the new version. I never really got the constant requests for Live to get an LFO when you could use a dummy clip to modulate anything in Live with a little work.

So this box will start to be interesting when you will be able to use the same LFO to modulate different parameters of different fx and, with the same LFO, tweak samples editing like stretch or repitch, all in sync.
No, it didn't happen yet.
The LFO must be one for all, it must not be retriggered.
And I don't think the effect parameters, stretch and repitch are on the destinations of mod matrix.

You go on with Territorial pissings made with positive vibes, the worst you can get.

For those of you who do not want the LFO to reset on every key press in 2.15 keygroups, there is a hack.

Open the XPM with a text editor. There is a line in there that controls the key reset. It is set to (false), but you can change it to true for any key group you want to have a free running LFO for.

T-monk doesn't moan. T-Monk finds a way to get it done. We should all be more like T-Monk!!!!

Fairly sure that manually editing the lfo parameter in the XPM didn't actually do anything as the 'free running' feature itself wasn't actually implemented in the software. Can any of you dinosaurs ( ) on 2.15.1 confirm that the LFO is actually free running? And if it does work, is it retained after re-saving a project?
