Q-LINK > TRACK macros: 'slice' cannot be set to '1' in PARAMETER RANGE (ongoing bug from first public beta)

1. TRACK EDIT > SAMPLES, assign sliced sample to layer 1, pad A01
2. hold down Q-LINK button and select TRACK
3. Select Q-link Edit and select Qlink 4
4. Hit + to add a macro
5. Select pads > Bank A > A01 > Edit > Layer 1 Slice
6. Expand bottom settings box and adjust PARAMETER RANGE

Expect: that I can assign a range for the Qlink covering slices 1-128
Actual: range skips slice 1, just goes from ALL to 2

Perhaps related ...
I tried this yesterday with a several minutes long (mostly audio) song and can confirm that the audio tracks are indeed silenced when looping if the starting loop point is placed after the audio file(s) start point.
BUT - the audio does in fact start after several bars playing, which would indicate that it needs some time to "catch up".
ALSO BUT - when that audio then starts, that audio file is then starting from its start point, i.e. it is completely out of sync.
This behavior doesn't seem to be affected even if the audio files are streaming or from memory.

I reinstalled 3.4.1 via USB to verify that corrupted firmware from the OTA update was not the reason. But the problem persists.

I have confirmed my Q-Links work otherwise.

Thanks.

I see you guys inherited the the same bug I got on Force 3.3 but it was there before that but I don't know how far back it goes.

MPC Key 61:

Installing the Native Instruments plugins in the internal memory causes to create duplicate plugins in the sound menu. After selecting a sound, exiting to mainm menu or any other, going back to sounds and pressing the plugin does nothing (have to press locate sound to enter the instrument selection folders).

In key ranges, touble tap a track does nothing, where in V2 the Midi menu was shown.

Thanks for confirming that.

Do you know if Akai lurks on/follows threads like this?

My Q links are doing the same. No response in sampler inserts. Also not working very good in grid mode.
Not sure how to fix this though.
PLEASE HELP
Thanks

We've confirmed it as a bug so there's nothing you can do about missing Qlink assignments until Akai fix it. You'll just have to use the datawheel or touchscreen.

I think the biggest bug is not informing the missing features for pushing updating on machines.. i.e. importing 2.15 projects, time signatures..
No mention anywhere..

Hi, I have a problem with the 3.4.1 update: I open a new project, create an audio track, add a sample and loop it, it starts correctly the first time but when it has to start again the sound disappears. In the previous 3 beta version this did not happen, unfortunately if I downgrade to beta it does not open any projects

Is this not the bug listed earlier in this topic?

Setting custom sequence loop disables audio track playback upon loop

1. Project with at least 1 audio track

3. Press [PLAY START] and let sequence play and then loop back to START point

Expectation: Audio track continues playing
Actual: audio track is silenced upon looping

Ok, so I posted this before but I can confirm the bug since I downgraded back to MPC2. Processing Mono samples into STEMS creates stereo files on MPC 3.4.1 and this is not the behavior on MPC 2.15.1. Creating STEMS for mono samples should remain with mono sample files NOT stereo samples.

No drum tracks on Export

1. Create a song with a drum track
2. Menu>Song Mode
3. Export

Expected Result: Wav file with all tracks and no disruption to MIDI programs on .xpj file
Actual Result: No drums on wav file and MIDI drum program completely wiped

This has happened to me on multiple attempts now. I even tried bouncing the drum track to an audio track as a workaround and still did not work. Same result - MIDI drum track wiped and nothing on wav file.

This is essentially a critical/blocker bug as I cannot create any tracks with drums. I've submitted to Akai Technical Support. I just recently upgraded to 3.4.1 on MPC One+.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Dan

I cannot login to my inMusic profile on my MPC-X SE. Already tried resetting preferences (which actually wont save anyways), downgrading/re-upgrading, logging in/out of profile on my PC. The screen just sits as "waiting for authorization from server ..." after I enter a QR code.
