I am trying to make few tracks smaller then my sequence which is 8 bars. I wanna add a track with 2 bars.

Till now I tried to go in Main screen under the sample uncheck seq and put 2:0:0. Sometimes this thing works, but not always... Most of the times nothing is changing. No matter how I change those numbers the length of that specific track remains the same.

It happens also to randomly change into some kind of polyrhythm number of beats and stay like that no matter what I do. It does start from the beginning after bar 8.

What am I missing?

A bug free OS ;)

Does the bug occur more often when you set loop points?

I noticed that the bar handling in the step sequencer is broken when the loop does not start at bar one.

It seems to happen when i have longer sessions and only on some tracks. My loop points in arranger are from first beat to end of bar 8. Just realised that if i restart my unit the problem disappears, and after a while it starts again on other random tracks.

Also I had a problem with 2-3 seconds of lag when switch between drum tracks, or selecting a pad into a drum track. Restarting the unit seems to get rid of that issue as well

So I guess till it gets fixed with an update restart is the way.

At first it didn't work for me though I saw the truncation in grid and list mode (greyed out events).

Only after I fiddled with bars/start/end of the sequence my shorter track played in a loop at the given length.

Please report your findings as bugs.

With my understanding changing the seq bar/start/end will change the whole sequence, not just one specific track. Are you saying is good to do that and the MPC will kinda resets itself and allow the shorter ones to be at specified length? Restart the unit seemed to be the only thing that worked for me at that point but I will try this workaround as well.

I will report the bug to MPC.

You are right. And I set the values back to the original values. So it's more like a wiggling a jack of a loose connection.

When you create a track, you first have to transfer it to a new sequence with the length of the sequence, then you can adjust the track length in the previous sequence individually.
This should work without any problems. This is the SEQ function between Monitor and Velocity, where you can then adjust the track length.
