No sample loop start and end points, right?
All seems pretty useless, at the end.
An improvement of what we already had, nothing new, just more chances to use the features we had before as sources or targets.

How the heck could effect modulation work when each voice has potentially its own lfo speed ?
There is simply no way to modulate effects with per-voice things.

That's why we would need a free running LFO to use with any parameter, that would be a good one, not the one they are putting now

Do you guys have worked with LFOs before?
An LFO per voice is a really weird idea.

Weird idea ? It's been standard in every digital synth since the 80's.

Forget about LFO's. If you had fx parameters as a target in the mod matrix, what would happen if you set velocity to control the effect, and play a chord ?

It simply cannot work with polyphonic modulators. That should be obvious.

I don't how much work it took just to add this without breaking other things, so I appreciate their commitment to an 8 year old product & hope these features get ported to the Force.

Also analog synths can have per-voice LFOs.

Maybe weird, but knew.

IMHO a per-voice LFO should ideally have the option to retrigger with the note. Global LFOs should always be free running.

Which 80s synths?

Cool. I asked him why the last video was unlisted & he said he needed tomake some correction.

Out all the shitty YouTubers, he one of the good ones IMO. Thanks for sharing & the last one that I would've missed because it was unlisted & I didn’t get alerted, nor was it on his videos list. I thought I was YT was pranking me. Why can see here but not there. :hmmm: :lol:

From the comment section (the highlighting is mine):

@noisetheorem
What was wrong in the first one?

@teftymusictech
The effects section I missed completely for the individual keygroups, the timbre shift I was wrong about, and I confirmed with Akai about global drift and voice drift requiring direct patches in the matrix. The manual as of today has these things stated incorrectly (except for the effects section) and that's what created the confusion for me.

Obvious?
There are tons of synths with free running LFOs. Like Moog and Arturia.
You are saying no sense.
If the LFO is one and not retriggered, it works with any material.
Some good brands give you the option to choose which one you want, retriggered or free running.
Akai tried to do that, but they did it wrong, so it's just retriggered.

Yeah, I noticed that about the manual as well. Oops. :lol:

Yeah, he's a good guy. Both him and Joe Filburn - who hasn't posted Force content in a long while unfortunately. There's some others. I enjoy Tubedigga's content as well - he gets straight to the point. No fluff, No clickbait titles or BS. Crates Motel is probably one of my favorites, though. Not only was/is he in the music industry as a professional producer with his name on a ton of stuff back in the day, he's legit about his praise - and pointed criticism - of the new gen MPC. But he does it professionally with no click bait titles or irritating diatribes. He's a stand up guy.
