"The coding required to fix this involves a deep deep dive into the OS as opposed to being a standard fix."

Yep, you see, first thing it's usually to put the foundations, after that you can build the house.

Does this bug affect any connected external synths as well as internal MPC sound sources? I use my MPC X as a routing hub and route MIDI in and out of the MPC. I deliberately haven't updated to the firmware version where this bug was introduced hoping to wait until it is fixed. However, it seems it will take some time. I know it affects internal programs and plugins, but I'm not sure if it also affects external synths.

I literally just created an account to ask you to please fix this.

This issue is a huge pain and I constantly have to keep it in the back of my head to avoid running into it in my live setup.

Of all the issues im aware of this one is by far the one which I would like to see fixed first.

That would make me very happy.

This is absurd. MIDI data is not difficult to deal with. I highly suspect that some contract programmer left them with undocumented spaghetti code and they have to rebuild the MIDI system from the ground up. Good on them for taking the time to fix it correctly; bad on them for letting it happen in the first place.

Seriously, this bug is this old?

I just hooked up circuit tracks via usb to MPC Live II. After setting up all MPC's channels to receive midi from corresponding midi channels from Circuit Tracks I noticed that the channels are choking each other.

Damn this gear is nothing but problems. Beta this and that. I would like to make use of my 1k purchase. Never AKAI again.

Has anybody figured out what firmware doesn't have this bug? I guess it's time to downgrade.

Also could somebody tell me if the Air plugins such as op4x, solina etc. work with the old mpc2 firmware?

These 2 were introduced prior to v3.
