Only problem I have is that they dropped Windows 7 support at some point in the 2.x series.

I hate being forced to update my windows studio machine (rock stable fine tweaked win 7 with everything installed and configured...) to windows 10 or 11...

Where's the linux version ??!....

TBF, no one is forcing you to update your Windows machine, if you are happy running an OS that is over 5 years past EOL then I assume you can also live with running an equally ancient version of the MPC Software

This BETTER have MIDI FX support or it's back to Ableton 12 with the MPCX in ABLETON LIVE Control mode.

Logic has a BEAUTIFUL..... simple........ BUTTON for the that type of MIDI FX routing/playback

Pull the trigger Dan. Drop that heat.

Don't sweat that too much. Often times when a company says they don't support a specific OS, it just means they haven't tested it on it. It may well work fine on Windows 7. Or at least, no worse than on the other versions.

What happened to the "MPC3 OS for Standalone will receive highly requested updates in spring", especially "Flexible Time Signatures" and "Enhanced MIDI Recording & Playback - addressing user-reported challenges with external gear and additional new features that will further elevate the MPC3 OS experience"?

Spring is sort of subjecting, of course, but I would say we're entering summer right about now, so please Akai, spring it on us! ;)
