I've been running into a major issue with exporting multi-tracks over the past week and hoping someone can confirm if this has been discussed.

When I export, automation is either lagging or happening too fast. For example, I have a track with a filter sweep, but when I export it—whether to a hard drive or using Bounce Track to Audio Track—the automation doesn't match what I hear during normal playback.

I've exported the same track five times, and each time, the filter sweep either comes in too early, too late, or even dips lower than the set parameter.

I've seen discussions about issues with Ableton’s bounce feature, but not much about exporting multi-tracks specifically. This is a huge problem for me, and since I can’t confidently export stems from my MPC, it’s putting multiple projects on hold.

Mine has crashed so many times since upgrading, I can't believe it.

It has crashed while in operation, on stage, mid performance, multiple times.

Often when reaching for track mute menu, but other times if I do more than a couple button clicks before the screen catches up.

Infuriating to say the least...

For all of you in the back that didn't get the message:
MPC3 was rushed for NAMM & is still in beta & shouldn't be used live on stage at this time.
Sorry you had to find out the hard way.

Anyone else getting ERROR 500002? it pops up when I open projects and you can't click out of it. It just keeps coming back. It appears to be an activation error because it says something about going to the store to buy the plugin without giving the name. When I click on the link, I get a QR code. when scan that, I'm taken to 404 page so, useless. When I check the activations page, everything I own appears to be activated. I'm on the MPC X v. 3.4.1. Has been working great until today. Anyone?

Yeah, I just got that too. Very annoying. I'm still on 2.15 though.

Can you plug the R16 directly into the MPC and have the same crash?

Have you tried changing the boot order?
(ie, I have to turn my OPSix on first before MPC. If I turn on MPC first then OPSix causes MPC to crash, regardless of firmware version)

i bought another hub ( powered). i plugged in a usb stick and it boots ok now. i dont know how with my zoom r16 now or without usb stick. im to scared. 700 potatoes you know :) brand new mpc. the least they can do is test it. its a bug topic. not a QA solve topic i believe. sorry thank you for your concern ❤️

i have the opsix too, thank you for letting me know. no i dont tested it without a hub. because i wil use a hub. the test is complex. powered vs unpowered hub vs the zoomr16 in interface mode or not before the mpc boot and the shut down with the zoom in interf... mode or not and second boot behaves different because its waiting for the zoom to turn on. im not going trough these 15 different scenario tests with my new mpc. for now the new hub with usb stick and midi digitone and etc is working so i leave it. when i really want to the inputs of my zoom ill try again. not today. not this week or month. using analoge sends to the ins for now on the mpc.

The bug with audio tracks when the loop doesn't start on the first bar, and the bug with MIDI overwrite recording in the grid view, have been fixed in 3.4.2. That was a very quick response!

  • Audio tracks are now audible after looping when loop start is not set to bar 1
  • Resolved an issue where certain MIDI data would not be deleted when recording over existing data in the arrangement

Here's an issue i had in arrange mode, trying to copy content between tracks. Used to work as intended before the public update, not yet fixed in 3.4.2

Arrange mode > Edit > Copy Events
Select Pads (1 or more) > Copy All Events

Expectation: Copy only selected pads
Result: Copies all pads
Workaround: Select pads in grid mode before pressing edit and choose "Copy selected events"
