Hey all. I'm a forum noob but have been using the MPC X line for a few years, most recently upgraded to the MPC X SE. I record and produce almost exclusively with the MPC X SE and then mix/master on my Mac but definitely prefer the standalone MPC hardware environment to mouse/keyboard/DAW. All of that said, I'm running into some limitations with the 8 audio track ceiling and also have need to upgrade my controller keyboard at the same time (I'm currently using an Arturia Keystep Pro and just can't myself to love small keys). My thought was this, despite the added expense, as I know I can get a really great controller keyboard for much less money, is it possible to sync an MPC Key 61 to my MPC X SE and essentially double the audio tracks to 16? I can't seem to find much in the way of reference to this around the internet aside from several people saying the whole endeavor would be a waste of money but I use as many analog audio tracks as I do MIDI tracks so for me, being able to record 10-12 audio tracks along with 10-12 MIDI tracks would be absolutely killer. Is this something that can be done? And if so, can it be done fairly easily? I have no idea if Akai built any of this into the MPC OS so I figured this would be the best place to ask.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
